New Project Forum@NASDSE Document - Homeless and Special Education Administrative Collaboration: Recommendations
Dear DISES members,
The following Project Forum document was recently prepared under Federal Cooperative Agreement H326F050001:
• Homeless and Special Education Administrative Collaboration: Recommendations
(click here to link to document)
This policy forum proceedings document begins with an introduction to the unique challenges that administrators face as they support implementation of services for children with disabilities who are homeless. Findings from a virtual forum are presented in the areas of policy and practice issues and recommendations for change. Forum participants’ recommendations focus on developing policies and practices for:
o expediting enrollment and provision of services; and
o coordinating programs and services.
The numerous appendices contain additional reference, contact, process and policy information and sample forms.
Please feel free to include the above short summary in any pertinent organization’s newsletter.
Additional copies are available from NASDSE; however, there are no restrictions on copying because this document was produced with federal funds. This document is available for downloading at www.projectforum.org. If you are unable to open the above document’s link, a PDF of this document is attached.
